This short film documents how seasonal rains in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, cause floods in homes built on a garbage landfill and how processes of local knowledge are translated for local bureaucracies through university collaboration. This documentary was produced in collaboration with the Department of Architecture, the LBJ School of Public Affairs, and the Lozano Long Institute for Latin American Studies at UT Austin, and the city planners, community activists, and developers the people of Los Platanitos, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic of Santo Domingo Norte.
